Lazy Bum
Well as M pointed out to you in our last post...she's been quite the busy bee. So naturally I am sure you were all saying to yourself "surely Jared has been very busy as well, I am really curious what he has been up to."
Thanks for thinking of me. So here's what I have been doing...squat.
I've been watching and listening to a lot of baseball. Mainly Twins baseball. Who, if you didn't know, have been creeping back up in the standings to the point of being right in the wild card race, and within striking distance of the Central Division. One of their competitors for the wild card is the Yankees, so I've also been watching some Yankees games routing for them to lose. Of course I do this in the privacy of my own home so as not to get beaten up by any random Yankee fan.

I have also been playing baseball or practicing quite a bit. I was a bit rusty after my vacation, and had my worst game of the season upon my return. But now I've got my swing back, and last weekend had a good 3 for 6 day with a single, double, and triple.
M is not the only person living a more active lifestyle for the summer. In fact I started the trend. I've been running regularly out on the Brooklyn Heights Promenade during the weekends (when I'm not playing baseball)...

...and now my new habit has been to cut my train ride home from work short, so I can get out and jog across the Brooklyn Bridge which takes me right to our neighborhood.

I too have now signed up for my first NY Cares project. Next week I will be going to the Bronx Library Center to help recent immigrants practice their English conversation skills. For those of you who know me, this might be a bit of challenge as I am a good talker...but not such a good listener. Next month I plan to join M for my second project at the Brooklyn Bridge Park cleanup project.
