Dinner & A Concert
It's been a week since the last post. Sorry about that. We had some early mornings due to work and there wasn't much time to do anything or post about not doing anything. We did go and see Harry Potter since the last post...we had mixed feelings. It was ok, but M felt it left out too much from the book. And based on the questions I was asking her after the movie (I have NOT read the book) we concluded that the story could have been told in movie form in a much better way. And maybe it's explained in the book (SPOILER AHEAD)...but why did Moody go through all that trouble of rigging every event in the tournament just to get Harry to grab the portal thingy?
Sorry, started to dork out on you all there for a second. So after work today M came to my office and we headed out for dinner from there. We stopped off at Union Square and wandered through the Union Square Holiday Market.

Then we walked down the street to dinner at Chat 'n Chew.
Looks romantic...but what you can't see is the burger with fries and grilled cheese sandwhich.

Afterwards we had some time to kill before our evening events so we walked down through Cooper Union and into the Lower East Side.
Eventually we ended up at the Bowery Ballroom, site of the Rogue Wave concert to which we had purchased tickets earlier in the week. It was a good show. They're a band out of Oakland, CA and are picking up followers across the nation. My friends Mark and CJ had both spoke highly of their show and M and I would agree. So if they come around, go check them out.

The show ended at 2AM at which point we had a long cold walk to the train stop. M didn't think we'd make it home alive...
